Home and Natural Remedies for Razor Burn on Male Face

  • Sharebar

When shaving the face, there are many different factors working against you that can cause less-than-perfect results. One of the most common facial disruptions to strike is called ‘razor burn,’ which creates a rash that covers the face after shaving. Sometimes, the rash lasts for a few moments with redness that fades with time, while some individuals are forced to battle the effects of irritated skin for days. To gain quick relief, it is recommended to become familiar with natural and home remedies for razor burn.

Home Remedies

a) Apply Hydrogen Peroxide:

When looking for relief from the signs of razor burn after a fresh shave, soak a cotton ball in hydrogen peroxide and dab on affected areas.

b) Body Lotion:

Reduce the dryness and itching of razor burn by applying a moisturizing body lotion to affected areas of the face.

c) Hydrocortisone Cream:

To fight the redness of razor burn, apply 1% hydrocortisone cream to affected areas after a fresh shave. It is suggested to use this remedy sparingly and not as a daily treatment, as overuse of hydrocortisone can cause thinning of the skin, stretch marks, and enlarged blood vessels.

d) Acne Medication:

You can use acne medication to fight the small bumps that may accompany a bout of razor burn. It is suggested to apply products that contain 2.5% or 5% benzoyl peroxide.

e) Strawberries and Sour Cream Mask:

Create a soothing mask made out of a couple of strawberries and one spoonful of sour cream. Apply this mixture after shaving and leave on the face for about ten minutes. It is suggested to repeat this regimen two times per week to keep razor burn away.

f) Consider Aspirin:

When the burning sensation of razor burn becomes too much to endure, dissolve two uncoated aspirins in a teaspoon of warm water to create a paste that soothes freshly shaven areas. After spreading the paste on the face, allow the remedy to settle for some time before rinsing off with lukewarm water.

g) Sensitive Skin Astringent: To lessen the appearance of razor burn on the face, soak a cotton ball in a mild facial astringent like Clean N’ Clear to fight irritation.

Natural Remedies

a) Chamomile Skin Wash:

Harness the power of chamomile by creating a skin wash that will soothe the itchiness of razor burn. Simply mix one teaspoon of chamomile in a cup of hot water. Allow the mixture to cool and then apply to itchy parts of the skin.

b) Vitamin C:

Try to consume foods that contain a great deal of vitamin C as a way to aid your skin’s ability to fight off the effects of razor burn.

c) Apply Tea Tree Oil:

Dab a bit of tea tree oil on the face to treat itchy skin and visible irritation caused by razor burn.

d) Aloe Vera Products:

Keep skin care products that contain aloe vera on hand for easy access to remedies that combat the stinging sensation of common skin irritations, such as razor burn. This particular natural wonder also possesses the power to speed up the healing process.

e) Dab on the Witch Hazel:

When razor burn has caused redness and swelling to develop on the face, turn towards witch hazel for help, as the extract from this flowering plant possesses both soothing and astringent properties.

f) Vitamin E Oil:

To fight the symptoms of razor burn, apply vitamin E oil to the face for quick relief.

I am a fair person, but my BBF, had the same problem, so we tried all kinds of stuff, she wanted to look nice for a dance, this is what she did and she faded very quick, we, washed her in bakingsoda and peroxid, oatmeal bathes, for a month, used a micro soft cloth, vita C serum, and put her on a reg. of pearl powder, alpha lapoic acid, large amounts of vitamin c, and sulfer in safe zones, didn’t eat sugar, fried foods drank lots of water. She looked so good the only makeup she had on was her lipstick and eye liner, then I did it, used less, and the redness in my skin went away quck, frekles faded away, I don’t have any, Porcellen White skin, but becareful, it is a lot of work, a little will go a long way and you can get dry if over done, I use honey, and she uses, olive oil, to make softer skin.
